This auction is for one character jug and one character mug. Each is approx. 2 1/2" high. Each is marked with Lancasters Ltd. Based on research (website the potteries .org) and the mark Ive estimated the manufacture date to be WWII era - approx. 1938 - 1944 (prior to their merger with Sandland.)

Character Jug "Mrs. Gamp"

pour spout on left side of rim
dark gray/blue manufactures stamp - "English Ware" image of crown and "Lancasters LTd Hanley England"
indented mark "Sarah Gamp" and "Reg"
dark gray/blue stamp "Mrs. Gamp, Regd. No. 824018" (not positive on the registration number as its a little blurry)
2 hairline cracks approx. 1/2" long inside the rim (see photo)
